2019-20 // JUNIOR SEASON

Finished the shortened campaign with a 17-9 overall record, including an 8-4 mark during the spring season playing primarily at No. 3 singles…finished the year with 64 career wins, just shy of a spot on the CSU Singles Wins List…named the Horizon League Singles Player of the Week after picking up wins against Western Michigan and Purdue – with his win at No. 3 singles against Purdue helping the Vikings capture the team win against the Boilermakers…also picked up signature wins against Xavier and Ball State…posted a 17-5 overall doubles record, including a 7-4 mark with Nico Mostardi at the top of the lineup during the spring season…earned Horizon League Doubles Team of the Week honors with Mostardi…selected to participate in the ITA All-American Championship…teamed with Mostardi to advance to the Main Draw Doubles Quarterfinals at the ITA Midwest Regional…named to the Notre Dame Invitational All-Tournament Team and became the 16th Viking all-time to record 50 career wins with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Marquette’s Luis Heredia at the tournament…picked up the Viking Invitational Doubles title with Matthew Terry.

2018-19 // SOPHOMORE SEASON
Doubles Stats | Singles Stats | Named to the All-Horizon League Second Team after finishing with a 20-13 singles record on the season…finished as one of six Vikings to eclipse the 20-win mark during the year…posted a 17-7 singles record during the spring season playing primarily at the No. 3 spot…went 5-1 against Horizon League opponents in regular season matches…enters his junior season just three wins shy of reaching the 50-win milestone…named the Horizon League Singles Player of the Week on February 19 after posting a perfect 3-0 record against Binghamton, St. Bonaventure and Oberlin…finished the year with an 18-10 doubles record, including a 4-1 regular season mark against league opponents at No. 2 doubles with Matthew Terry…the duo earned Horizon League Doubles Team of the Week honors on April 23 following a 2-0 weekend against IUPUI and UIC to close out regular season play…selected to participate in the Milwaukee Tennis Classic…earned a spot in the singles Main Draw at the ITA Midwest Regional.

2017-18 // FRESHMAN SEASON
Doubles Stats | Singles Stats | Named to the All-Horizon League Second Team…finished the year with a 27-13 singles record – with the 27 wins ranking sixth on the CSU Single-Season Wins List…posted a perfect 7-0 record against Horizon League opponents at No. 3 singles during the regular season…named the Horizon League Singles Player of the Week (Feb. 20) after going 3-0 against Butler, Bucknell and John Carroll…earned a straight-set win against Youngstown State at No. 3 singles in the semifinals of the Horizon League Tournament…also picked up key singles wins against Notre Dame (Jan. 21), DePaul (Jan. 28), Ball State (Feb. 10), Butler (Feb. 16), and Xavier (March 2) during non-league play…posted a team-best 20-15 doubles record on the year, including a team-best 12-10 record with William Malm during dual match play…finished with a team-high 5-1 record against Horizon League opponents at No. 2 doubles with Malm…advanced to the Main Draw at the ITA Midwest Regional…won the Purdue Fall Invitational Flight A Doubles title with Nico Mostardi after going 4-0 on the weekend.

PRIOR TO CLEVELAND STATE
Finished his high school career as a top-150 player nationally according to TennisRecruiting.net…finished as the runner-up at the Pennsylvania State Tournament twice during his prep career, while also finishing third on one occasion…was just shy of notching 100 career wins at Carlynton High School, finishing his career with 95 victories.

PERSONAL
Born August 21, 1998…son of Mark and Beth Phillips…has one brother, Mark, and two sisters, Hannah and Kate…earned High Honor Roll accolades throughout high school…plans to major in business.
