Setting the Scene
The Vikings host Ohio on Saturday evening at 7 p.m. for Alumni and Senior Night. This will be the final home match of the 2022 season for the Green and White.

Senior Night
Cleveland State will honor John Kelbly and Riley Smucker prior to the start of the match. Kelbly wrestles at the 285-pound weight class and is in his fifth season with the Vikings. Smucker wrestles at the 165-pound weight class and is in his third season with the Green and White.

NWCA Mid-Major Poll
The National Wrestling Coaches Association released its second Mid-Major Top 20 poll on Thursday and Cleveland State was ranked No. 17. This is the first time this season the Vikings have been ranked after garnering 19 points. 

About the Bobcats
Ohio enters the match with a 6-3 overall record and 2-2 MAC record. The Bobcats will be on the second part of a back-to-back as they face Kent State this evening. OU slipped two spots to No. 13 in the Mid-Major poll after falling to Central Michigan on January 30th, 24-10. Ohio has four guys ranked in the NCAA rankings; Sal Perrine (#23) at 174-pounds, Jordan Slivka (#25) at 157-pounds, Kyran Hagan (#26) at 141-pounds, and Alec Hagan (#29) at 149-pounds.

First NCAA Rankings
Three Vikings were ranked in the first NCAA Coach Rankings of the season; Marcus Robinson (#30) at 149-pounds, DeAndre Nassar (#31) at 184-pounds, and Riley Smucker (#31) at 165-pounds.

Latest Intermat Rankings
Cleveland State has two guys ranked in the most recent InterMat rankings; Marcus Robinson (#29) at 149-pounds and Riley Smucker (#33) at 165-pounds.

Up Next
The Vikings head to Lock Haven on Friday, February 11 for a 7 p.m. MAC match. The Bald Eagles are under the direction of Scott Moore, brother of CSU head coach Josh Moore.
