Cleveland State Men's Tennis Sweeps #HLTennis Weekly Awards
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - For the third time this season the Cleveland State men's tennis team has swept the Horizon League weekly awards, as Maxime Mareschal-Hay has been named the Singles Player of the Week, while Kade Mindry and Raul Teichmann have earned Doubles Team of the Week honors.

This marks the third weekly honor for Mareschal-Hay this year, while Mindry and Teichmann picked up their fourth weekly accolade of the season.

Last time out, this trio helped the Vikings to a pair of wins at Northern Kentucky (4-3) and IUPUI (6-1), keeping Cleveland State perfect in #HLTennis play at 7-0. In addition, the two wins clinched the Horizon League North Division Regular Season title for the Vikings.

Mareschal-Hay paced the Vikings at the top of the lineup in singles, picking up back-to-back wins at the No. 1 spot. He opened the weekend with a 6-4, 6-1 victory at NKU before notching a 6-2, 6-3 win at IUPUI.

The wins extended his current win streak to seven straight matches, and kept him perfect against league opponent this season. Mareschal-Hay now stands at 23-9 overall this year, including a 16-1 mark at No. 1 singles.

Mindry and Teichmann went 2-0 at No. 1 doubles on the weekend, picking up a 6-4 victory at NKU and a 6-3 win against IUPUI. The duo helped the Vikings pick up both doubles points on the weekend, as Cleveland State has now captured six straight doubles points.

The duo now owns a team-best 17-11 record on the year, including a 13-8 mark when playing at the top of the doubles lineup this spring.
