Cleveland State Men’s Tennis Competes At ITA All-American Regional

TULSA, Okla. – The Cleveland State men's tennis team was represented at the ITA All-American Championships for the fourth straight year, as Kade Mindry, Maxime Mareschal-Hay and Mikael Erler all competed in the Pre-Qualifying Singles Draw.

Mindry was the lone Viking to pick up a win in the first round of the pre-qualifying draw, earning a 6-1, 6-4 straight-set victory over SMU's Blaine Hovenier. Mindry then bowed out of the tournament in the second round against an opponent from Kennesaw State.

After dropping their first round matches, Erler and Mareschal-Hay both appeared in the consolation draw, with Erler notching a 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 three-set victory over Ashe Ray of Wofford.

This trio and the men's tennis team will return to action at the ITA Midwest Regional later this month (October 20-24).
