Entering the contest, the Vikings stand at 22-4 overall this season and 13-1 in league play, while the Phoenix own an 18-8 overall record and a 10-4 mark against league opponents. Last weekend Cleveland State secured the No. 1 seed for the upcoming Horizon League Tournament, while Green Bay is currently tied for second place in the league standings.

COMPLETE HORIZON LEAGUE STANDINGS

Cleveland State enters Wednesday's contest on a 13-match winstreak – a mark that is tied for the longest winstreak under head coach Chuck Voss. The Vikings, who have tallied 10 or more consecutive wins five times during Voss' tenure, are one of 14 teams in Division I to currently own a double-digit winstreak.

Last time out, the Vikings picked up back-to-back 3-0 sweeps over Oakland and Youngstown State, clinching the Horizon League Regular Season Championship. This is the fourth regular season title for the Vikings under Voss, and the second straight season that Cleveland State will be the No. 1 seed, and host, of the Horizon League Tournament (November 18 – November 20).

HORIZON LEAGUE TOURNAMENT CENTRAL

After another efficient offensive weekend, Cleveland State remains at the top of the league standings in hitting percentage (.253), kills (13.94), and assists (12.87), while Aaliyah Slappy (hitting percentage; 1st - .348), Grace Kauth (kills; 2nd – 3.65), and Gina Kilner (assists; 2nd – 10.78) rank among the top-two in the individual categories.

Entering Wednesday's match, Kauth and Kilner are just shy of reaching career milestones, as Kauth needs just six more kills to reach 1,400 on her career, and Kilner is seven assists shy of notching 3,000 career helpers. Kauth currently ranks fourth in the CSU Career Record book with 1,394 kills, and would become just the fourth Viking all-time to reach the 1,400-kill milestone, while Kilner ranks sixth with 2,993 assists, and would become the sixth Viking all-time to eclipse the 3,000-assist mark.

Earlier this week, Cleveland State picked up its sixth weekly honor from the Horizon League, as freshman Sara Skeens was named the Offensive Player of the Week. Skeens was an integral part of the Viking offense in the two wins last weekend, as she notched a team-high 10 kills at Oakland and followed that up with an 11-kill performance against Youngstown State. Skeens is one of three Vikings to pick up offensive weekly accolades this season (Kauth & Kilner), while Kauth and Shannon Grega have picked up defensive honors from the league this year.

Cleveland State will close out the regular season at home on Friday (November 11), as the Vikings will host Wright State at 7:00 p.m. in Woodling Gymnasium. Friday's contest will serve as Senior Day, as the Vikings will honor the trio of Sydney Mast, Aaliyah Slappy, and Grace Kauth before the match.
