CLEVELAND, Ohio—The Mid-American Conference (MAC) announced the pre-seeding for the 2022 MAC Wrestling Championship on Tuesday afternoon. The tournament will be hosted by Ohio University at the Convocation Center in Athens, Ohio on Friday, March 4, and Saturday, March 5.

Cleveland State wrestling had six wrestlers in the pre-seeding; Logan Heil (125), Jake Manley (133), Marcus Robinson (149), Riley Smucker (165), DeAndre Nassar (184), and Ben Smith (197).

Heil is seeded third overall at 125-pounds. Overall, he's 11-10 on the year but 7-3 in the MAC. On the year, he has five decisions, two major decisions, three tech falls, and one fall. Manley grabbed the seventh seed at 133-pounds. This season, Manley is 9-10 overall and 6-3 in the MAC with six decisions and three falls.

Robinson is the top-seed at 149-pounds after posting a 16-3 overall record and 7-1 mark in the MAC. This season, he has nine decisions, three major decisions, two technical falls, and a fall.

Smucker is the third seed at 165-pounds with an 18-3 overall record and 8-2 record in the MAC. Smucker has 13 decisions, two major decisions, and two falls. Nassar earned the third seed after going 14-4 overall and 6-1 in conference. On the campaign, Nassar has 11 decisions, two major decisions, and a tech fall.

Smith rounded out the ranked Vikings with a third seed at 197-pounds. Smith went 17-4 overall and a perfect 10-0 in the MAC. He has nine decisions, four major decisions, two falls, and a tech fall.

Cleveland State's championships lineup is completed with Anthony Rice at 174-pounds and Daniel Bucknavich at 285-pounds.
