Cleveland State kicks off their 2021-22 season with a quad-meet against Binghamton, Rutgers, and NJCU at the Rutgers Athletic Center in Piscataway, N.J. These will be the first matches of the year for all teams competing.

MAC Preseason Poll
The Vikings were selected to finish second in the 13-team MAC field, registering 96.5 points. Central Michigan was picked as the preseason favorite with 112 points, while Northern Illinois, Edinboro, and Clarion rounded out the top five.

Ten Cleveland State wrestlers were ranked in the MAC preseason weight classes led by Ben Smith as the top wrestler in the 197-pound weight class.
Intermat Preseason Team
Cleveland State had three wrestlers recognized on the All-MAC Teams with Ben Smith (197) on the First Team and Riley Smucker (165) along with DeAndre Nassar (184) on the Second Team.
NCAA Returners
The Vikings return all three NCAA qualifiers from last season; Marcus Robinson (149), DeAndre Nassar (184), and Ben Smith (197).
2021-22 Schedule
Cleveland State will take part in 16-events during the 2021-22 season with their first home match on Sunday, Nov. 14 at 2 p.m. against Purdue.
