2019-20 - FRESHMAN SEASON
Placed sixth at debut Mid-American Conference Championships at 125 pounds (3/8) … Was the highest placing freshman at his weight … Became team’s primary starter at 125 after competing unattached in first two events of season … Finished with a mark of 24-12 on the season, including 10-3 in dual action … Was third on the team in wins, tops among freshman, and tied for second in dual victories … Finished second on team in MAC duals with a 7-3 mark … Pinned two opponents at MAC Championships, including upsetting a top-15 national opponent from Lock Haven, to help place higher than his seed (3/7) … Tallied five pins on the season … Won Ohio Intercollegiate Open in his final event competing unattached (11/10) … Took second at Clarion Open after beating two opponents from Penn State and upsetting top seed in event (11/3) … Also finished second at Cleveland State Open (12/14) … Posted dominating 16-2 victory vs. Buffalo in first-ever collegiate dual bout (12/6) … Notched upset win over Cameron Valdiviez of Missouri in dual bout (1/25) … Trailed 10-2 in his match at Missouri before furiously rallying for 12-10 win … Also won in dual action vs. Michigan State (2/16) … Made debut in CSU singlet at Navy Classic (11/23).
