COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Cleveland State men's tennis team had its 2024 spring season come to an end Friday, dropping a 4-0 match against top-seeded Ohio State in an NCAA first round matchup.
The Vikings finish the 2024 season with a 21-7 overall record - marking the most wins in a single-season in program history.
Cleveland State was playing in its ninth NCAA Tournament, and first since 2021.
Senior Kade Mindry finished his Cleveland State career with 62 singles wins, while Mikael Erler finished with 52 - the only two current Vikings with 50+ wins as a Viking.
Carl Gedlitschka finished the 2024 campaign with a team-best 27 singles wins, tied for seventh on the CSU Single-Season Wins List.
Gedlitschka also teamed up with JuandeDios Abboud to finish the year ranked third on the CSU Doubles Wins List, with a 34-22 record all-time as a tandem.
Gedlitschka and Abboud also finished 10th on the CSU Single-Season Wins List with a 19-12 record this season, while Devin Boyer and Lincoln Battle finished seventh on the list with a team-best 20-5 record.
