Cleveland State Men’s Tennis Earns #HLTennis Doubles Team of the Week Honors

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Cleveland State men's tennis team was once again honored by the Horizon League Wednesday, as Carl Gedlitschka and JuandeDios Abboud picked up Doubles Team of the Week honors. This marks the sixth weekly doubles honor for the Vikings this season, including the second for Gedlitschka and Abboud. 

Last time out, Gedlitschka and Abboud helped the Vikings to a 1-1 trip to the state of Texas, including a 5-2 win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. 

The duo went 1-0 on the week at No. 2 doubles, picking up a 6-2 win against the Islanders to help Cleveland State clinch the doubles point. In addition, Gedlitschka and Abboud played an unfinished 5-5 match at No. 25 Baylor. 

For the season, the duo is now 13-8 overall, while they own a 28-18 record as a tandem all-time. The 28 wins ranks them third on the CSU Doubles Wins List.
