INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Horizon League announced the 2023 Men's Tennis All-Academic Team Thursday afternoon, with Cleveland State junior Maxime Mareschal-Hay earning a spot on the seven-member team.

This marks the second All-Academic honor for Mareschal-Hay.

Mareschal-Hay, a native of Quebec, Canada, is currently studying sport & entertainment management and has been named to the Cleveland State Dean's List every semester of his collegiate career.

On the court, Mareschal-Hay has been Cleveland State's top singles player this year, combining for a 23-9 record on the season, including a perfect 7-0 mark against league opponents at No. 1 singles. Earlier this year, Mareschal-Hay eclipsed the 50-win mark for his career, currently owning a team-best 58 career wins.

As part of Cleveland State's No. 3 doubles team, Mareschal-Hay has combined for a 9-6 record on the year with Mikael Erler, including a 5-2 mark in league matches.

Mareschal-Hay is a three-time Horizon League Singles Player of the Week honoree, and has also picked up Doubles Team of the Week accolades with Erler this season.

Last weekend, Mareschal-Hay and the Vikings clinched the Horizon League North Division Regular Season Championship, improving to 19-6 on the year and 7-0 against #HLTennis opponents.
