Teichmann Picks Up 50th Career Singles Win As Vikings Fall To UAB

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Cleveland State men's tennis team wrapped up its annual spring break trip Tuesday morning, dropping a 6-1 contest against UAB.

Cleveland State's lone point on the day came from Raul Teichmann at No. 3 singles, as he posted a 6-3, 6-4 straight-set victory. The win marked his 50th career singles win, while it also improved him to a team-best 17-9 this season.

Teichmann has now won three straight matches, owning an 11-3 singles record this spring.

Teichmann joins teammate Maxime Mareschal-Hay in the 50-win club, as Mareschal-Hay eclipsed the plateau against Army earlier this season.

The Vikings will now be off from competition until Saturday, March 25, when they host IUPUI inside the Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion to begin Horizon League play.
