Cleveland State vs. Kent State

Raheem Moss

• Made a season-high three three-pointers (3-9) to finish with a season-high 14 points

• His three treys allowed him to pass Percell Coles and move into eighth place in CSU history with 131 career three-pointers.

 

Carlos English

• Scored in double figures for the fourth time in five games, finishing with 14 points.

• Added a season-high six assists.

 

J'Nathan Bullock

• CSU's leading scorer (16.3 ppg), he missed his first eight field goal attempts and did not score his first point until 6:06 remained in the second half.

• He went on to score six straight points to finished with seven points

• Added a game-high 10 rebounds, his second straight double-figure rebounding effort, with two blocked shots.

 

Victor Morris

• Scored in double figures for the fourth time this year, totalling 11 points.

 

Three-Point Shooting

• The Vikings shot 10-of-22 from three-point (.455), their second-highest three-point FG total this season.

• CSU, which leads the Horizon League in three-point defense (.306), held KSU to .294 (5-17) from behind the arc.

 

Miscellaneous

• This was the 41st meeting all-time between Kent State and CSU with KSU now owning a (25-15) lead in the series.

• The victory snaps a six-game CSU losing streak in the series.  The last time the VIkings defeated Kent State was a 75-74 win on Dec. 2, 1997 when Gary Waters was still head coach at KSU.

• The Vikings won their fourth straight game, the longest streak since a seven-game stretch in 2000-01, to improve to 5-3.  KSU fell to 4-3.

• CSU trailed only three times in the opening half, but never by more than a point.  CSU's biggest lead was at half (34-24).  It was the seventh time in eight games that the Vikings led at the break.  CSU took the lead for good with 4:50 left (22-21) on a Moss threeipointer.

Cleveland State had an advantage on the boards for the fourth time this season (43-35).

• Senior Patrick Tatham grabbed a season-high 9 rebounds.  His previous best was four (done three times).
