The Horizon League leader in steals, he made three steals to raise his season total to 64, moving him into 10th place on the CSU season chart.
When he made his first free throw, he became just the fifth player in CSU history to make 100 field goals, 100 free throws and hadn off 100 assists in a season. The last was Damon Stringer in 1999-2000.
MISCELLANEOUS NOTES
The win snaps a five-game Viking losing streak, improving CSU to 15-9 ovefrall and 8-5 in league play. Detroit drops to 5-18, 1-12.
CSU sweeps the season series from the Titans for the first time ever, improving to 11-32 all-time against Detroit.
The Vikings improve to 9-3 at home this season, including a 9-2 mark in the Wolstein Center. The nine wins ties for the third-highest single season total in building histort, trailing only the record 11 wins in 1992-93 and 2000-01.
Cedric Jackson and J'Nathan Bullock became the fourth duo in school history to make 100 free throws in a season. Jackson now has (100) while Bullock has made (108).
Detroit turned the ball over 22 times, the second-most by a CSU Division-I opponent (Chicago State-24). CSU turned those turnovers into 20 points.
Two days after neither team could shoot better than .500 from the foul line, both teams excelled tonight. Detroit was 14-20 (.700) while CSU made its first 15 free throws, finishing with a .864 percentage (19-22).
