Ije Nwankwo
• Despite being bothered by foul trouble, scored a team-high 15 points with 6 rebounds.
• It was the second time in his Viking career that he scored in double-figures.

Steve Gansey
• Returned to the lineup after missing the last two games with a knee injury to score a season-high 12 points. His previous best was eight points against both Michigan State and Rochester.
• Was 3-of-5 from three-point. He had been just 7-of-35 going into the game (.200)

Carlos English
• Was limited to a season-low one assist. He entered the game leading the league averaging 5.6 assists per game.
• Made 3 steals to improve his Horizon League leading total to 26.

Offensive Woes
• The two teams combined to shoot .294 in the first half (15-51) with CSU shooting .208 (5-24) and Detroit .370 (10-27).
• CSU rebounded to shoot .455 in the second half (10-of-22) and .429 in overtime (3-7).
• Detroit shot .385 from the line (5-13).

Miscellaneous
• The game marked the second time this season (and in three seasons under Mike Garland) that CSU played to overtime, with the Vikings winning both games. CSU is now 36-30 all-time in overtime games.
• The win snapped a three-game CSU losing streak, improving the Vikings to 5-8 overall and 1-3 in Horizon League play. Detroit dropped to 9-9, 3-2.
• CSU claimed its second win in the last three meetings with the Titans, improving to 6-7 in the Wolstein Center versus Detroit. CSU is now 8-28 all-time against the Titans.
• Detroit's Brandon Cotton, a first team All-Horizon League choice last year, did not play for the second straight game (hand).
• CSU trailed by as many as 12 points in the second half (44-32, 7:21 left) before scoring 12 straight points to tie the game at 44-44 with 3:27 left.
• Detroit was assessed a technical foul with 10.2 seconds left when, following a steal, Ben Green called a timeout but the Titans had none left. Carlos English missed both free throws to leave the game tied at 48-48. Detroit then turned the ball over with 2.4 seconds left on a bad pass by Chuck Bailey.
• CSU had a 41-33 rebounding advantage. It was only the fourth time in 13 games that they out-rebounded their opponent.
