Evanston, IL-The Cleveland State Fencing team concluded the day at the NCAA Midwest Regional with multiple athletes placing. The Vikings unfortunately did not have any athletes place high enough to advance to the national championships, but it was a successful day overall. 

De'Mario Steele was the highest placer of the day for Cleveland State, finishing seventh in men's epee. Merik Pohl finished 11^th, John Hackman placed 15^th, Jesse Ndjeka placed 16^th and Drew Walker rounded out the epee competitors for the Vikings finishing tied for 18^th. 

In men's foil, Paul DiVenti finished ninth and Evran Walter and Harry Hardman finished in 12^th and 13^th respectively. 

On the women's side, Maia Taylor Casamayor finished eighth in women's epee as the highest place winner. Lily Robertson also placed 12^th in the same event. 

In women's foil, Gabi Hirsch placed 14^th and Shelbie Seeberg finished 16^th. In women's saber, Ilyssa Freiburger placed 15^th and Sarah Calvert finished 17^th.
