Cleveland State Fencing Set to Host CSU Duals on Sunday

Cleveland, OH-The Cleveland State Fencing team is back in action this weekend, hosting the CSU Duals inside Woodling Gymnasium on Sunday.

The tournament will feature six teams: the host Vikings, along with Denison University, Lawrence University, Detroit Mercy, Incarnate Word, and Vassar College.

Action begins with the first round starting at 9 a.m. The event will feature five rounds with a break scheduled for 1:05 p.m. and the afternoon session beginning at 1:35. Admission to the event is free for all spectators.

During the break, Cleveland State will recognize six seniors in their final year of competition at CSU. A short recognition ceremony will take place on the competition floor in between rounds three and four.

The Vikings are in action for the first time since early December, when they competed in an individual competition at the Denison Open. The Vikings also competed in the Vassar Invitational in November, where the men finished 4-4 and the women finished 2-8.

Viking fans can follow along on CSU Athletics social media channels for results throughout the day.
