Jerry Kelsheimer presently serves as Managing Director & Principal of Exodus Capital Partners, LTD., a firm established to directly acquire and invest in middle market businesses in Northeast Ohio, provide various business advisory and consulting services, and to facilitate private equity and family office investment into business investment opportunities within the region.   

Prior to formation of ECP, Jerry served as Regional Chairman, CEO, and President of Fifth Third Bank (Northeastern Ohio). In executive leadership capacity at Fifth Third, he was principally responsible for oversight of all bank operating activity in Cleveland, Akron, Canton, Youngstown, and surrounding counties including responsibility for all major business lines including Commercial Banking, Consumer Banking, Wealth Management, and Mortgage Lending. He was also a member of Fifth Third Bank Management Committee. 

Jerry joined Fifth Third in August 2010 as Managing Director of Strategic Planning. In that role, he worked with Fifth Third regional market leadership teams and Bancorp executive management on the development of business strategies supporting the organization’s commitment to growth and innovation. He assumed the role of Regional President in January 2011, was promoted to Region CEO in 2013, and to Region Chairman in 2017.

Previously, Jerry was President of Huntington National Bank’s Greater Cleveland and Northern Ohio regions. In that capacity, he was responsible for management and oversight of all Huntington business activity in the Cleveland metropolitan market and various counties across the northern half of the state of Ohio. Prior to assuming that role, he held various positions at Huntington including Executive Vice President and Senior Commercial Banker for Huntington Bancshares, headquartered in Columbus, Ohio.

Jerry began his professional career with Comerica Bank in Detroit, where he held positions in both Middle Market Banking and Commercial Finance. He subsequently held positions with Bank One Corporation in both Corporate Banking and Equipment Finance before joining Huntington in 1996.

Jerry is a graduate of the Indiana University Kelley School of Business. He also completed The Huntington Executive Leadership Program at The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business and Executive Strategic Planning Seminar at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.

He currently serves as a Director on the boards of University Hospitals Health System, University Hospital Cleveland Medical Center, United Way of Greater Cleveland, Tri-C Foundation, Greater Cleveland Partnership, and Cleveland Development Advisors. He is a Trustee of Cuyahoga Community College and University Hospitals and a member of the Cleveland State University Department of Athletics Advisory Committee and the Advisory Board of Cornerstone Christian Academy.
