Cleveland State Track & Field Set For Golden Grizzlies Invite

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State track & field team will be back in action this weekend, participating in the Golden Grizzlies Invite hosted by Oakland on Saturday, April 6. 

Action will get underway at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, with both field and running events starting at that time.

This weekend's Golden Grizzlies Invite will be the third of eight outdoor meets for the Vikings this season, leading up to the Horizon League Championships May 3-5. 

Last time out, the Vikings had a strong showing at the Yellow Jacket Collegiate Open, paced by a pair of event wins from Landry Driskel in the Discus (42.28) and Grace Frye in the Shot Put (13.04). In addition, Cleveland State recorded 12 other top-10 finishes, including a pair of top-five showings from Sage Colòn in the 10,000 (42:08.00) and Ana Crangle in the 3,000 Steeple Chase (11:29.80) to highlight the track events.
