Cleveland State Cross Country Finishes Notre Dame Invite

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Cleveland State cross country team returned to the course Friday afternoon, competing in the Notre Dame Invitational.  

For the first time this season, Kiannah Sarver paced the Vikings, as she crossed the finish line with a 5K time of 19:51, marking a CSU career-high for the junior. 

Hannah Korte also notched a sub-20 minute time at the Notre Dame Invite, recording a time of 19:55 for her third sub-20 5K time this season. 

The next two Vikings to cross the finish line were Ariana Coats (20:04) and Madeline Crissman (20:26), while Madelynn Madison notched a 5K time of 20:37. 

Ana Crangle (20:48) and Emily Nemeth (21:18) rounded out the Cleveland State finishers on Friday, as Cleveland State was participating in its second to last tune-up before the #HLXC Championships next month. 

The Vikings will hit the course for one final time before the Horizon League meet, as they will compete at the Falcon Invite hosted by Bowling Green on Friday, October 14.
