Cleveland State Cross Country Unveils 2021 Schedule

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State cross country team has announced its schedule for the upcoming 2021 campaign, featuring seven races over a 12-week season. 

COMPLETE 2021 SCHEDULE

The Vikings will open the season on Wednesday, September 1 at the Wooster Invite, followed by the Tommy Titan Invitational hosted by Detroit Mercy on Saturday, September 11. Over the final two weeks of September, CSU will participate in the All-Ohio Championships (Friday, September 17) and the Redhawk Rumble hosted by Miami (Ohio) (Saturday, September 25). 

Cleveland State's final tune-up of the 2021 campaign will be the Jenna Strong Invite hosted by Wilmington College on Friday, October 15, before the Vikings compete at the 2021 Horizon League Championships on Saturday, October 30. This year's #HLXC meet will be hosted by IUPUI and will take place at the Northview Church Course in Carmel, Ind.

The final event of the 2021 campaign will be the NCAA Regionals, with the Vikings competing in Evansville, Ind. on Friday, November 12. 

The Vikings return seven runners from last year's squad, including the trio of Hannah Korte, Emily Nemeth and Savannah Shaver who paced Cleveland State throughout the adjusted 2021 spring campaign. In addition, the Vikings will be welcoming eight newcomers to the roster for this season, and will be under the direction of fourth-year head coach Jason Hudson.
