ROCHESTER, Mich. – The Cleveland State cross country team competed in its final track and field meet of the 2015 spring season this weekend, as Megan O'Keefe, Ashlyn Woods, Samantha Butterbaugh, Emily Marshall, and Ashley Lydic all participated in the Horizon League Track & Field Championship.
The Vikings were represented in the 800 Meter Run and the 1500 Meter Run.
O'Keefe was Cleveland State's lone competitor in the 800, as she finished 14th overall in the prelims with a time of 2:26.07. Although her prelim time did not advance her to the finals, it still marked a season-best for O'Keefe.
The other four Vikings competed in the 1500, with Woods placing eighth overall with a time of 4:55.94. Butterbaugh, who won her section of the finals-only 1500 Meter Run, placed 11th overall with a season-best time of 5:00.10.
Marshall also recorded a season-best time in the 1500, finishing 18th overall in 5:45.82, while Lydic finished 19th with a time of 5:50.60.
