ASHLAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State cross country team competed in the Ashland University Alumni Open Saturday, recording two top-five finishes.
Cleveland State's top-five finishes came from Kristin McCarthy in the 3000 Meter Steeplechase (5th – 14:54.27) and Ashlyn Woods in the 1500 Meter Run (5th – 4:55.09).
The Vikings also had a top-10 finish from Samantha Butterbaugh, as she placed 10th in the 1500 with a time of 5:02.29.

Cleveland State's final track meet of the season will be next weekend (Friday, May 1 – Saturday, May 2) at the Horizon League Championship. The meet will be hosted by Oakland University.
