YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Members of the Cleveland State cross country team competed in their final track meet of the 2014 spring season last weekend, participating in the Horizon League Track and Field Championships. Six Vikings took part in the meet, competing in the 800 meter run, 1500 meter run, and the 5000 meter run.
The 800 meter run was the only race that had preliminaries out of the three that CSU participated in, with Megan O'Keefe placing 16th in the prelims with a time of 2:26.56.
Cleveland State had two runners in the 5000 meter run, as Katie Webb finished 23rd with a time of 20:05.34 and Erin Pavick finished 25th with a time of 21:06.31.
The 1500 meter run was the final race to showcase the Vikings, as Ashlyn Woods placed 18th (5:10.36), Alanna Shamrock finished 20th (5:13.17), and Ashley Lydic placed 22nd (5:45.38).
