ASHLAND, Ohio – Members of the Cleveland State cross country team participated in their second track meet of the season Saturday afternoon, competing in the Ashland University Alumni Open. Megan O'Keefe, Ashley Lydic, Alanna Shamrock, Jesse Stallings, Ashlyn Woods, Erin Pavick, and Katie Webb represented CSU at the meet, competing in four different events.
The Vikings had four runners in the 1500 meter run, with Woods placing 15th (5:10.36), Shamrock placing 18th (5:13.17), Lydic placing 27th (5:45.38), and Stallings finishing 29th (5:52.02).
O'Keefe was the lone Viking to compete in multiple events, placing in the 200 meter dash (29.92) and the 800 meter run (2:26.56).
The final event that had a Viking representative in it was the 5000 meter run, as Webb placed 13th (20:25.84) and Pavick placed 19th (21:06.31).
Cleveland State's final track meet of the season will be the Horizon League Championships, taking place Friday, May 2 through Sunday, May 4. The 2014 Horizon League Championships will be hosted by Youngstown State at the Farmers National Bank Field.
