Cross Country Continues 2013 Season At Ohio Invitational

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State cross country team will continue the 2013 season this Saturday (Sept. 14), competing in the Ohio Invitational. The Invite, which is hosted by Ohio University, will take place at the Ohio University Golf Course, with the women's 5K set for a 10:00 a.m. start.

Cleveland State is coming off a fourth place finish at the Detroit Titan Invitational, where the Vikings were once again paced by freshman Ashlyn Woods. All seven freshman who competed last weekend set personal-bests, including Woods who was just shy of breaking the 20-minute mark, crossing the finish line in 20:01.

The Vikings were still without last season's top runner, Tori Holt last weekend, as she continues to rehab a preseason injury. Holt's younger sister Amelia and senior co-captain Ashley Berlin also sat out last weekend's race – all three of which will hopefully be back in the lineup for this weekend's Ohio Invitational to give CSU a full squad for the first time this season.
