DETROIT, Mich. - Sophomore cross country runner Tori Holt ran a sub-20 minute 5K for the first time in her collegiate career, leading Cleveland State at the Detroit Titan Invitational Saturday morning. Holt and the Vikings placed fifth as a team, while Bucknell took home first place honors.

"Everyone ran very well today, I was happy with everyone's finish especially Tori," head coachJoe Jaketic said. "Tori broke 20-minutes for the first time in her career today, and hopefully it is the first of many times that she will accomplish that feat. All of the returners bettered their times from last season at the Titan Invite, while some of the newcomers bettered their times from last week which was great to see."

Holt paced the Vikings, placing 30th overall in a time of 19:59. The trio of Katie Webb, Ashley Lydicand Maddie Korak all recorded top-50 finishes for CSU, led by Webb who finished 40th overall in a time of 20:45. Lydic crossed the line in 21:08 (43rd place), while Korak placed 45th in 21:10.

Angela Kirila and Megan O'Keefe were the next two Vikings to finish, crossing the line in 22:06 (60th) and 22:54 (64th), respectively. Rachel Niemi and Amanda Kalain finished right after each other, Niemi in 23:21 (71st) and Kalain in 23:26 (72nd), a time that was a minute faster than last week. Ashley Berlin also competed for the Vikings, crossing the finish line in 23:40 (76th).

The Vikings will be back in action next weekend, when they compete at the Friendship Invitational on Saturday, September 15.
