INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - After leading the Cleveland State cross country team to a fourth place finish at the Otterbein Invitational last weekend, sophomore Tori Holt has been named the Horizon League Runner of the Week. The league made the announcement Monday (Sept. 24) afternoon.

"Tori has been working so hard ever since the summer to get where she is and I am very proud of her accomplishments so far this season," head coach Joe Jaketic said. "She has already knocked off a whole minute from her best time last year, which is just amazing. I'm glad to see all of her hard work translating into success on the cross country course."

Holt, who finished eighth out of 129 runners last Saturday, crossed the line in 19:23. Holt's time at the Otterbein Invite marked her third straight sub 20-minute 5K, while it was also the 18th fastest 5K time at Cleveland State since 2005.

Holt has paced the Vikings in all three races that she has competed in this season, finishing in the top-10 twice (Friendship Invitational & Otterbein Invitational).

The Vikings continue their season this Saturday (Sept. 29), participating in the All-Ohio Championship in Cedarville, Ohio.
