CEDARVILLE, Ohio- The Cleveland State cross country team continued the 2012 season Saturday afternoon, competing in the All-Ohio Championship. Overall, there were 43 schools competing in the race, with the Vikings placing seventh out of the Division I schools competing.
"Overall we had a good race today, we were all hoping to run a bit faster but this was the first afternoon race of the season so I think we did pretty well," head coach Joe Jaketic said. "Tori led us once again, recording her fourth sub 20-minute 5K. She has been a very consistent runner for us all season long, which is very important for us. We will work hard this coming week and hopefully record some PR's next weekend."
For the fourth straight race Tori Holt paced the Vikings, placing 73rd overall with a time of 19:26. Katie Webb was the second Viking to cross the finish line, recording a time of 20:08 (128th place). The freshmen duo of Ashley Lydic and Maddie Korak were the next finishers, Lydic placing 174th overall with a time of 20:49 and Korak placing 190th in 21:09.
Angela Kirila, Megan O'Keefe and Amanda Kalainrounded out the finishers for CSU in the championship race, Kirila recording a time of 21:38, O'Keefe finishing in 22:25 and Kalain crossing the line in 23:26.

Ashley Berlin (22:12), Rachel Niemi (22:40) and Kate Roark (24:10) competed in the open race for Cleveland State.
Next weekend the Vikings will travel south to Orlanda, Fla. For the Walt Disney World Classic on Saturday, October 6.
