CLEVELAND, Ohio- The Cleveland State cross country team is set for its third race of the 2012 season this weekend, as the Vikings will run at the Friendship Invitational in Cedarville, Ohio. The women's collegiate race is set for a 10:15 a.m. start on Saturday (Sept. 15) on the Cedarville University Campus.

The Vikings are coming off a fifth place finish at the Detroit Titan Invitational, where they were led by Tori Holt who became the first Viking to break the 20-minute mark this season. Holt crossed the finish line in 19:59, and is now one of 18 Horizon League runners that have posted a sub-20 minute 5K this season.
Six Vikings bettered their 2012 season times last weekend at the Titan Invite, including sophomore Amanda Kalain who dropped 1:30 off of her time from the Flyer 5K Challenge. Ashley Berlin (51 seconds), Megan O'Keefe (33 seconds), Katie Webb (29 seconds), Angela Kirila (27 seconds) and Maddie Korak (21 seconds) also improved their times from the opening week race.
