CLEVELAND - Cleveland State's Jamie Bouyer has been named the Horizon League Player of the Week for Nov. 1-7. This marks the second time this season (Sept. 20) and the fourth time her career (Sept. 20, 2003 and Nov. 4, 2002) that the league has recognized the Bedford Heights, Ohio native.

Bouyer had a solid week for the Vikings, hitting .474 (44-7-78), while averaging 4.89 kills, 1.11 digs and 0.89 blocks. On Nov. 2 at Robert Morris, the senior middle hitter registered a career-high 29 kills, while hitting .490 (29-5-49) with seven digs. Three days later in a Senior Night win over Youngstown State, she notched 15 kills, a .448 hitting percentage (15-2-29) and six blocks. Her performance last week enabled Bouyer to become just the second player in league history with 1,500 kills and 500 blocks.

Bouyer currently leads the league in hitting percentage (.387) and blocks per game (1.49), ranking 23rd and 29th nationally in the respective categories.

Cleveland State (13-10, 6-6 HL) heads into the final week of the regular season needing one victory to secure the number four seed (and the accompanying first round bye) in the upcoming Horizon League Championship. The Vikings will travel to UW-Green Bay on Friday, Nov. 12, followed by a contest at league-leading UW-Milwaukee the next afternoon.
