Maggie Bonomini has the most experience of any player returning in the backrow and has the inside track on taking over the libero position. One of the top passers and serve receivers in the Horizon League, Bonomini has great instincts on the defensive end and tends to be in the right spot on the floor to make the difficult plays seem easier. She possesses outstanding ball control skills and will be counted on to anchor the backrow this season.

2008 SEASON (JUNIOR)

•Finished second on the team with 283 digs, appearing in all 30 matches with 21 starts.

•Made just 27 reception errors in 431 chances (.937).

•Amassed double-digit digs 13 times, including at least 20 digs two times.

•Had 16 digs in Horizon League Championship match vs. Milwaukee (11/23).

•Made 12 digs in league quarterfinal win over Wright State (11/21).

•Finished with 15 digs vs. Butler (10/31) and Bowling Green (10/21).

•Produced a season-best 22 digs with two aces at UIC (10/17).

•That effort at UIC came on the heels of a 19-dig performance against Milwaukee (10/12) and a 20-dig match vs. Green Bay (10/11).

•Compiled 13 digs and just three receiving errors in 33 attempts (.909) at Dayton (9/6).

2007 SEASON (SOPHOMORE)

•Finished third on the team with 331 digs as she appeared in all 32 matches.

•Tallied career-high 27 digs against Kent State (8/28).

•Totaled 19 digs in league semifinal win over Wright State (11/17).

•Had eight digs in NCAA Championship match against Albany (11/30).

•Recorded double-digit digs in 18 matches, including a string of 12 straight matches (9-15/10/27).

•Had 24 service aces, including a career-high tying three against Valparaiso in league tournament championship match.

2006 SEASON (FRESHMAN)

•Saw action in 27 matches, finishing her rookie season sixth on the team in digs (97).

•Recorded career-best 13 digs in Horizon League semifinal match against UIC (11/18).

•Notched double-digit digs in three matches.

•Averaged 8.3 digs per match over the final seven matches of the season, including three double-digit efforts

HIGH SCHOOL

•Led Seton High to a 24-5 record her senior season, playing for Kerry Butkovich.

•Earned the Cincinnati Enquirer All-City team after posting 181 digs and 15 aces in 2005.

•Helped team win the 2005 Division I state title after earning berth in the state semifinals the previous season.

•Squad won back-to-back sectional, district and regional championships in 2004 & `05.

•Earned four letters in volleyball.

•Daughter of Jan and Michael Bonomini.

•Has two sisters, Jennica and Katie.
