INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Horizon League announced the 2023 Volleyball All-Academic Team Tuesday afternoon, with the Cleveland State duo of Madison Olinger and Laken Voss earning a spot on the 14-person team.
Olinger and Voss are both earning All-Academic recognition for the first time in their career.
This duo has combined for eight CSU Dean's List honors, as Olinger owns a 3.85 cumulative GPA in nursing, while Voss carries a 4.00 studying mechanical engineering.
On the court, Olinger and Voss have helped the Vikings earn their 21st trip to the Horizon League Tournament under head coach Chuck Voss, leading the team to a 16-13 record during regular season play.
Voss enters tournament play averaging 3.07 kills and 2.42 digs per set as a six-rotation player, while Olinger has posted a team-best 90 total blocks on the season and is averaging 1.63 kills per set.
This marks the fourth straight year that at least two Vikings have earned All-Academic honors from the Horizon League.
