Cleveland State Volleyball Adds Three For 2024 Campaign

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland State volleyball head coach Chuck Voss announced his recruiting class for the upcoming 2024 campaign Thursday, as Vayda Delventhal (Northwood, Ohio), Chloe List (Beaver, Pa.) and Allison Salazar(Medina, Ohio) have all committed to Cleveland State University. 

All three will join the Vikings next fall with four years of eligibility remaining. 

VAYDA DELVENTHAL | DS | NORTHWOOD, OHIO
Delventhal is set to the join the Vikings after leading Lake High School to four straight 20-win campaigns and four consecutive Northern Buckeye Conference championships. As a four-time All-NBC honoree, Delventhal finished her prep career with 1,120+ digs, 1,770+ assists and 155+ service aces.  

In addition to her high school accolades, Delventhal also played club volleyball for TVC and Athlete Headquarters, qualifying for nationals during the 2021 and 2022 seasons. 

Delventhal earned All-Academic honors all four years of her prep career, is set to graduate with an honors diploma, and plans on majoring in business management.

CHLOE LIST | OH | BEAVER, PA
List comes to Cleveland State after a standout prep career, leading Beaver Area High School to a trio of sectional championships as a freshman, sophomore and junior.  

As a three-time All-Section, two-time All-WPIAL and one-time All-State honoree, List has combined for 1,200 kills, 750 digs, 150 blocks, and 100 service aces throughout her high school career. 

In addition, List also played club volleyball for Revolution.

List, who has earned Honor Roll accolades at Beaver Area, plans to major in early childhood education. 

ALLISON SALAZAR | S | MEDINA, OHIO
Salazar will join the Vikings after spending her prep career at Buckeye High School, where she was a two-time Offensive Player of the Year. In addition, Salazar was named the Great Lakes Conference Player of the Year, earned All-GLC honors three times along with a pair of All-Medina County and All-District accolades.  

While at Buckeye, Salazar set a school record for most kills in a postseason match and set the school and county record for kills in a season, finishing her prep career with 1,000+ kills, 790+ digs and 480+ assists.

Salazar also played club volleyball for MAQ Volleyball Club, leading the team to a second place finish at the 17 National OVRs during the 2022-23 season. 

A member of the High Honor Roll, Salazar plans to major in chemical engineering.
