Laken Voss finished her rookie campaign by setting a CSU Freshman Class Record with 389 kills.

After dropping the first set, the Vikings responded with a 25-20 win in the second frame to tie the match at 1-1.

The Vikings opened the frame with a 4-1 run, forcing an early Wright State timeout after a Lydia Latimer kill. Cleveland State was then able to withstand a Raider run midway through the set, regaining a 20-17 advantage following four straight points – including a trio of Liberty Torres kills.

The Vikings then gained set point on a Madison Olinger and Madalynn Butler block, before closing out the frame on an Olinger kill.

Wright State was then able to pick up the third set win, taking a 2-1 match advantage into the fourth frame.

During the fourth set the Vikings were able to gain a sizeable lead midway through, as back-to-back points on a Laken Voss kill and Raider error put Cleveland State up 16-10.

The Vikings were able to hold their advantage over the next few plays then, but a late run from the Raiders gave the advantage to Wright State at 23-20, before Cleveland State was able to stop their scoring run with a Latimer kill.

Wright State responded by picking up two of the final three points of the set then, claiming the 3-1 semifinal victory.
