Cleveland State Volleyball Closes Out Play At Lehigh Invitational

BETHLEHEM, PA – The Cleveland State volleyball team wrapped up action at the Lehigh Invite Saturday, dropping a three-set contest against Buffalo in Saturday's lone match.

This marked the second time that the Vikings faced Buffalo this season, as the two teams also met last weekend at the Bulls' home tournament.

Liberty Torres tallied a team-best eight kills on a .350 hitting percentage on the match, while Peyton Bloomer chipped in five kills.

Karly Klaer finished with 15 assists against the Bulls, averaging 5.4 assists per set on the weekend – which marked her collegiate debut.

Audrey McConihe posted seven digs against Buffalo, while Halayna Kesling tallied six.

The trio of Lydia Latimer, Peyton Bloomer and Ainslie McLaughlin all recorded two total blocks on the day.

Cleveland State picked up its first win of the 2022 campaign in their Lehigh Invite opener on Friday, as the Vikings posted a 3-2 victory over the host Mountain Hawks.

Cleveland State will continue non-league play with a trio of matches next week, traveling to Akron on Thursday, September 8 before hosting Morgan State (Friday, September 9) and Valparaiso (Saturday, September 10).
