McCONIHE NAMED TO BUFFALO INVITE ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM
Last time out, libero Audrey McConihe was named to the Buffalo Invite All-Tournament Team after averaging 4.86 digs per set on the weekend. McConihe tallied double-digit digs in all three matches, including a career-high 37-dig performance against Xavier in the season opener. This marked McConihe's second All-Tournament Team accolade of her career.

…AND TRACKING DOWN 1,000 DIGS
Entering the second week of the season Audrey McConihe is on track to record 1,000 career digs, as she currently stands at 849 total digs. After the first week of play, McConihe ranks fourth among #HLVB players averaging 4.86 digs per set, and will be looking for back-to-back 350+ dig seasons after finishing with 376 last year.

MILLER CLOSING IN ON 1,500 ASSISTS
Entering the week, sophomore Abby Miller is just 30 assists shy of reaching the 1,500-assist mark, currently owning 1,470 helpers. Last week Miller averaged 8.29 assists per set, and currently ranks third among #HLVB players in the category. In addition, Miller is also just shy of earning a spot in the CSU Career Record Book, needing 59 assists to be tied for tenth on the list.

VIKING BLOCK PARTY
As a team, Cleveland State combined for 33.0 total blocks at the Buffalo Invite last weekend, including a season-high 15.0 blocks against Xavier in the season opener. Individually, Madalynn Butler led the Vikings with 13 blocks, while Lydia Latimer added 12 and Madison Olinger chipped in 10. Entering the week, Butler ranks third among #HLVB players averaging 1.18 blocks per set, while Cleveland State also ranks third as a team.

QUIRINO & VOSS LEADING THE VIKING OFFENSE
During the first week of play the duo of Madison Quirino (redshirt freshman) and Laken Voss (freshman) led the Viking offense, both doing so during their collegiate debuts. Voss averaged a team-best 3.89 kills per set on the weekend, while Quirino averaged 3.00 kills per set. Against Xavier in the season opener, Quirino notched a double-double with 16 kills and 19 digs, while Voss tallied 23 kills to lead the Vikings.

VIKING DEBUTS
In addition to Madison Quirino and Laken Voss, two other Vikings also made their collegiate debuts last weekend, as Madison Olinger and Ayva Leon both took the floor for the first time in the Green & White.

THE 2022 LINEUP
This year's Viking lineup features 13 returners, including the senior group of Peyton Bloomer, Sarah DeGeorge, Sarah Green, Lydia Latimer, and Audrey McConihe. In addition, the Vikings return three juniors and five sophomores, while five true freshmen will be joining Cleveland State for the upcoming campaign.

HEAD COACH CHUCK VOSS
Chuck Voss is in his 23rd season at the helm of the Vikings, and owns a 379-265 (.595) overall record at Cleveland State. Under Voss the Vikings have recorded 17 winning seasons, including a streak of 10 straight from 2009 to 2018. Cleveland State has eclipsed the 20-win mark eight times since Voss took over the program, and has captured Horizon League Tournament titles five times (2007, 2012, 2015, 2016 & 2017) under his guidance. During the 2016 season Voss became the all-time winningest coach in program history, and then later became the only active Horizon League coach to reach the 350-win mark at their current school.

UP NEXT
Cleveland State will continue its non-league slate with a trio of matches next week, traveling to Akron on Thursday, September 8 and hosting Morgan State on Friday, September 9 and Valparaiso on Saturday, September 10.
