QUICK SETS
The Cleveland State volleyball team will close out the regular season at home this weekend, hosting Northern Kentucky on Friday, November 12 and Wright State on Saturday, November 13. Friday's match against the Norse is slated for a 6:00 p.m. first serve, while Saturday's match against the Raiders will start at 4:00 p.m. 

SENIOR DAY
Saturday's match against Wright State will be Senior Day for the Vikings, as Cleveland State will honor the duo of Lindsey Tout and Erica Kostelac prior to first serve.  

HOME-SWEET-HOME
After playing 20 of their first 27 matches on the road, the Vikings will close out the 2021 regular season with a pair of home matches this weekend, looking to extend their current two-match win streak inside Woodling Gymnasium. Last time Cleveland State played at home, the Vikings picked up back-to-back wins against Youngstown State (3-1) and Robert Morris (3-2). 

KOSTELAC NOTCHES 1,000th CAREER KILL
After finishing with a team-high 14 kills at UIC last time out, redshirt-senior transfer Erica Kostelac eclipsed the 1,000-kill mark for her career, ending the weekend with 1,006 total kills. Kostelac, who has 154 total kills this year, posted 262 kills during two seasons at Creighton and 590 kills during two years at Cincinnati. Entering the weekend, Kostelac ranks third on the team averaging 2.14 kills per set. 

WALKER LEADING THE VIKING DEFENSE
Throughout Cleveland State's three-match roadswing last weekend Emma Walker and Audrey McConihe split libero duties, with Walker averaging a team-high 3.09 digs per set on the weekend. Walker, who played eight of Cleveland State's 11 sets as libero, combined for 34 digs on the three matches, including a career-high tying 16 digs against Green Bay. 

MILLER AMONG #HLVB LEADERS
Entering the week, sophomore Abby Miller continues to be one of the top setters in the league, as she ranks seventh averaging 8.10 assists per set. In addition to being Cleveland State's primary setter, Miller is also one of the team's top defensive players, as she is averaging 2.04 digs per set. So far this season, Miller has posted seven double-doubles, including a 34-assist, 10-dig effort at Green Bay last weekend. 

AVERY ON THE OFFENSIVE ATTACK
After posting back-to-back career-high matches against YSU and RMU two weeks ago, Keanna Avery continued the trend this weekend, as she posted a career-high 13 kills at Green Bay. Avery's 13 kills against the Phoenix marked a team-high for the match, while she is averaging 2.43 kills per set over the last two weekends of play.  

HEAD COACH CHUCK VOSS 
Chuck Voss is in his 22nd season at the helm of the Vikings, and owns a 379-260 (.593) overall record at Cleveland State. Under Voss the Vikings have recorded 17 winning seasons, including a streak of 10 straight from 2009 to 2018. Cleveland State has eclipsed the 20-win mark eight times since Voss took over the program, and has captured Horizon League Tournament titles five times (2007, 2012, 2015, 2016 & 2017) under his guidance. During the 2016 season Voss became the all- time winningest coach in program history, and then later became the only active Horizon League coach to reach the 350-win mark at their current school.
