QUICK SETS
The Cleveland State volleyball team will continue the 2021 campaign with one of its busiest stretches of the season, as the Vikings will hit the road for three matches over a four-day span. The Vikings will travel to Milwaukee (Thursday, November 4), Green Bay (Friday, November 5) and UIC (Sunday, November 7) to close out the road portion of its #HLVB slate.

ROAD WARRIORS
This week's matches will be the 18th, 19th and 20th road contests of the season for the Vikings, marking the most road matches in a regular season since 2009. Cleveland State started the season with 13 straight matches away from home, traveling 3,400+ miles during this span and visiting six different states.

McCONIHE NOTCHES 20-DIG MATCH AGAINST OAKLAND
Last time out, libero Audrey McConihe tallied her sixth 20-dig match of the season, finishing with 23 digs against Oakland. McConihe, who leads the Vikings averaging 3.83 digs per set this year, now has 742 total digs on her career. In league matches only, McConihe ranks fifth among #HLVB players averaging 4.04 digs per set.

MILLER AMONG #HLVB LEADERS
Entering the week, sophomore Abby Miller continues to be one of the top setters in the league, as she ranks fifth averaging 8.14 assists per set. So far this season, Miller has posted 40+ assists during five matches, including a season-high 49 against IUPUI. Miller eclipsed the 1,000-assist mark earlier this year, and currently has 1,226 career helpers, closing in on the CSU Career Top-10 List.

AVERY NOTCHES BACK-TO-BACK CAREER-HIGHS
Over the last two matches Keanna Avery has been a mainstay in the Viking offense, posting a career-high 12 kills against Robert Morris and Oakland. The 12 kills against the Colonials and Grizzlies marked the first double-digit kill matches for the junior, as she is currently averaging 0.82 kills per set on the season.

…PORTIS & BLOOMER LEADING THE VIKING OFFENSE
Entering the final stretch of regular season play, London Portis and Peyton Bloomer have been Cleveland State's top offensive threats, combining for over 40-percent of CSU's kills on the year. Bloomer leads the Vikings averaging 2.64 kills per set, while Portis is close behind with 2.61 kills per set. Bloomer has posted double-digit kills during eight #HLVB matches, while Portis has recorded 10+ kills nine times - including a career-high 20 kills against RMU.

ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM HONORS
Through non-league play Cleveland State had three players earn All-Tournament Team recognition; London Portis (Baltimore Invitational), Audrey McConihe (Eagle Challenge) and Ainslie McLaughlin (Colgate Invitational). All three Vikings were named to an All-Tournament Team for the first time in their collegiate careers.

HEAD COACH CHUCK VOSS
Chuck Voss is in his 22nd season at the helm of the Vikings, and owns a 379-257 (.595) overall record at Cleveland State. Under Voss the Vikings have recorded 17 winning seasons, including a streak of 10 straight from 2009 to 2018. Cleveland State has eclipsed the 20-win mark eight times since Voss took over the program, and has captured Horizon League Tournament titles five times (2007, 2012, 2015, 2016 & 2017) under his guidance. During the 2016 season Voss became the all-time winningest coach in program history, and then later became the only active Horizon League coach to reach the 350-win mark at their current school.

UP NEXT
Cleveland State will close out the regular season at home next weekend, hosting Northern Kentucky on Friday, November 12 and Wright State on Saturday, November 13. Saturday's match against the Raiders will mark Senior Day for the Vikings.
