Cleveland State Volleyball Falls To Colgate

HAMILTON, NY – The Cleveland State volleyball team finished play at the Colgate Invitational Saturday, dropping a 3-0 contest against the host Raiders.

For the second straight match Chelsea Penfield led the Viking offense, posting seven kills against Colgate, while Ainslie McLaughlin added five kills and Peyton Bloomer chipped in four.

With 16 assists against Colgate, Abby Miller eclipsed the 800-assist mark for her career, finishing the weekend with 802 helpers.

Defensively Audrey McConihe posted a team-high 10 digs on the match, while Sarah DeGeorge added six and Miller finished with five.

Cleveland State will play its final weekend of non-league matches next weekend, taking part in the Evansville Invitational on Friday, September 17 and Saturday, September 18. The Vikings will face Murray State, Evansville and Liberty throughout the two days.
