Greene & Miller Earn #HLVB All-League Honors

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Horizon League announced the 2021 postseason awards Friday afternoon, with Cleveland State senior Hannah Greene earning a spot on the All-League First Team and newcomer Abby Miller earning a spot on the All-Freshman Team.

This marks the 19th straight season that the Vikings have had a representative on the All-League First Team, while it's the ninth time out of the last 10 seasons that a Viking has earned a spot on the All-Freshman Team.

Hannah Greene | First Team
Greene picked up her third straight All-League accolade after leading the Vikings with 184 total kills during the shortened 2021 campaign. Greene averaged 3.23 kills per set on the season, ranking sixth among Horizon League players. Greene also finished the year with a team-best 66 total blocks, ranking second among league players averaging 1.16 blocks per set.

Through 16 matches this season, Greene recorded double-digit kills 12 times, while finishing with four or more blocks during nine matches. Greene picked up a pair of #HLVB Player of the Week honors during the year – following a 23-kill, 10-block series against Robert Morris (March 4) and a 25-kill, 6-block series against Oakland (February 18).

Greene finished the season as one of five Vikings to be ranked in the Top-10 in Total Blocks (7th – 391), Block Assists (8th – 330) and Solo Blocks (8th – 61) in the CSU Career Record Book.

Miller earned a spot on the All-Freshman Team after leading the Viking offense as the primary setter during the 2021 campaign. Miller finished the year with a league-best 567 total assists, ranking second in the league averaging 9.95 assists per set.

Miller, who was just the third freshman to lead the Viking offense over the last 13 seasons, posted 40+ assists during five matches, including a career-high 48 at Purdue Fort Wayne.

Miller also added 150 digs and 30 total blocks on the season, posting a team-high nine double-doubles through 16 matches.
