Volleyball Drops Three-Set Match To Oakland

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State volleyball team wrapped up its two-match series against Oakland Tuesday evening, dropping a 3-0 match against the Grizzlies. The Vikings finish the week with an even 4-4 record on the young season.

Match Stats
· Hannah Greene led the Vikings with 12 kills on the night, while London Portis added six and Abby Miller chipped in four.
· Abby Miller finished with 25 assists on the match.
· Emily DeGeorge posted a team-high 10 digs, while Lindsey Tout and Caroline Kucia added eight digs each.
· Chelsea Penfield finished with a team-best two blocks.
· The Vikings combined for four service aces on the match, including two from Caroline Kucia.

Match Notes
· With her two service aces against the Grizzlies, Caroline Kucia kept the streak alive for at least one Viking posting 2+ service aces in the same match.
· Hannah Greene recorded double-digit kills for the fifth match this season after finishing with 12 against Oakland.
· After posting 10 digs on the night, Emily DeGeorge now has 66 double-digit dig matches on her career.
