CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State volleyball team has announced its league schedule for the 2021 season, which includes 16 total scheduled matches against eight #HLVB opponents.
This season, the Vikings will play eight opponents over a nine-week regular season schedule, with two matches against the same team on back-to-back Monday and Tuesday dates.
The opening week of the volleyball lineup is slated for Monday, January 25 and Tuesday, January 26, and will run through Monday, March 22.
Cleveland State will be on the road to begin the season, as the Vikings are scheduled for a two-match series at Green Bay during the first week, while they will also travel to Northern Kentucky (2/8 & 2/9), Purdue Fort Wayne (2/22 & 2/23) and Wright State (3/8 & 3/9).
During the adjusted season, Cleveland State is scheduled to host Milwaukee (2/1 & 2/2), Oakland (2/15 & 2/16), Robert Morris (3/1 & 3/2), and Youngstown State (3/15 & 3/16).
Horizon League championship information will be announced once finalized.
All Horizon League institutions have agreed to follow rigorous league-mandated safety protocols related to COVID-19. Due to the conditions created by the ongoing pandemic, Cleveland State will begin the season with no spectators. CSU will work with local health officials to evaluate future spectator plans should those factors significantly improve.
