Volleyball Drops 3-1 Contest At League-Leading Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Cleveland State volleyball team continued its current four-match roadswing Saturday, dropping a hard fought 3-1 decision at Horizon League leader Milwaukee.

Offensively, three Vikings finished with double-digit kills against Milwaukee, led by Trinniti Hall who posted 19 total kills. Emily DeGeorge notched 12 kills for CSU and Hannah Greene added 10.

Following her 19-kill performance against the Panthers, Hall eclipsed the 850-kill mark for her career, finishing the weekend with 865 kills on her career.

Christina Grecol finished with 43 assists on the match, and was just shy of a double-double as she also finished with eight digs.

The Vikings also had three players finish with double-digit digs on the match, including 16 from libero Lindsey Tout. Hall and DeGeorge both recorded double-doubles on the match, as Hall added a career-high 15 digs and DeGeorge recorded 11 digs.

Greene posted a team-high five total blocks, while freshman Chelsea Penfield recorded four blocks.

Penfield, who has appeared in the last three matches, has recorded four or more blocks in all three matches, and is now averaging 1.58 blocks per set.

The Vikings will continue their current four-match roadswing next weekend, traveling to Youngstown State on Friday, November 1 and Oakland on Saturday, November 2.
