Cleveland State To Host 2016 Horizon League Volleyball Tournament

CLEVELAND, Ohio – After clinching the Horizon League Regular Season title earlier this season, the Cleveland State volleyball team has earned the top seed in the upcoming Horizon League Tournament and will serve as host for the 2016 championship. The tournament will run from Friday, November 18 through Sunday, November 20 in Woodling Gymnasium on the Cleveland State campus.

This is the second straight season that the Vikings will be hosting the Horizon League Tournament, and the fourth time under head coach Chuck Voss.

Along with the Vikings, Green Bay (No. 2), Northern Kentucky (No. 3), Oakland (Nov. 4), Milwaukee (No. 5), and Valparaiso (No. 6) also earned a spot in this year's tournament.

Action at the 2016 tournament will begin on Friday (Nov. 18) with a pair of first round matches. At 3:00 p.m. No. 3 Northern Kentucky will take on No. 6 Valparaiso, while No. 4 Oakland will face No. 5 Milwaukee at 6:00 p.m.

Top–seeded Cleveland State and No. 2 Green Bay will begin play on Saturday (Nov. 19), after earning byes into the semifinals. At 3:00 p.m. Cleveland State will take on the lowest remaining seed, while Green Bay will face the highest remaining seed at 6:00 p.m.

The championship match of the 2016 Horizon League Tournament is set for 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 20.

There will be live video and live stats available for all five matches throughout the tournament.
