Grega & Kauth Named To Horizon League All-Academic Team

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Cleveland State volleyball duo of Shannon Grega and Grace Kauth has been named to the Horizon League All-Academic Team, as the league announced the 13-member team Friday morning.

Kauth, a three-time all-academic honoree, carries a 3.88 GPA studying Marketing. The Vandalia, Ohio native has been named to the Cleveland State Dean's List every semester of her collegiate career and is a three-time CSU Athletic Academic honoree.

On the court, Kauth leads the Vikings with 371 kills this season and ranks second in the Horizon League averaging 3.64 kills per set. Earlier this season, the senior became the sixth Viking all-time to record 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs, and currently ranks fourth in the CSU Career Record book with 1,411 career kills and sixth with 1,189 digs.

This marks the first time that Grega has earned Horizon League All-Academic Team accolades, as she owns a 3.79 GPA while studying nursing. The junior has been named to the CSU Dean's List four times during her collegiate career – appearing on the list every semester she has been eligible. She is also a two-time CSU Athletic Academic honoree.

The Bay Village, Ohio native has served as Cleveland State's libero this season, leading the Vikings with 384 total digs. Grega ranks sixth among league players averaging 3.76 digs per set, and has tallied 20+ digs during four matches this season. Grega enters the final stretch of the regular season just shy of 900 digs on her career, entering Friday's match with 891 digs.
