LEXINGTON, Ky. – After leading the Cleveland State volleyball team to its third NCAA Tournament appearance in program history, the duo of Alexis Middlebrooks and Christina Toth were named Honorable Mention All-Northeast Region from the American Volleyball Coaches Association. Cleveland State head coach Chuck Voss was also named the Northeast Region Coach of the Year.
The AVCA released its All-Region honors Tuesday (Dec. 13) morning.

Middlebrooks and Toth are the 10th and 11th Vikings to earn All-Region accolades, and the first since the 2012 season.
Toth, a senior outside hitter from Lyndhurst, Ohio, finished the season with a team-high 481 total kills, averaging a team-best 3.79 kills per set. She also notched 85 total blocks, including 10 solo blocks. Among Horizon League players, Toth finished the season ranked fourth with her 3.79 kills per set, while she also ranks 39th nationally with her 481 total kills in the most recent NCAA Statistics Report.
Middlebrooks, a sophomore middle hitter from Elyria, Ohio, finished the year with 361 kills and a team-high 146 total blocks. She was Cleveland State's most efficient offensive player, notching a team-best .329 hitting percentage – a mark that ranked third among Horizon League players. Middlebrooks' 146 total blocks marked a Horizon League best for the season, while she also ranks 34th nationally in the category in the most recent NCAA Statistics Report.

Toth and Middlebrooks both finished 2015 with their names in the CSU single-season record book – Toth ranking in the top-10 in kills (6th – 481) and points (6th – 528.5) and Middlebrooks ranking in the top-10 in block assists (3rd – 134), total blocks (5th – 146), and hitting percentage (9th - .329).

Voss was named the AVCA Northeast Region Coach of the Year for the first time in his tenure, after guiding Cleveland State to its third Horizon League Tournament title and third trip to the NCAA Tournament. Earlier this season, Voss was named the Horizon League Coach of the Year after leading the Vikings to the Horizon League Regular Season crown.
Cleveland State finished the 2015 season with a 26-7 record – its sixth 20-win season under Voss' guidance and the 15th in program history.
