The Vikings held the advantage for the rest of the frame, and finally put the first set away with a Winchester kill for the two-point victory.

The second set was much of the same, as the Vikings once again jumped out to a six-point lead at the 15-9 mark, but the Bearcats stayed in the frame and came within one point (15-14) before Cleveland State took control of the set. CSU was able to hold at least a three-point lead for the remainder of the frame, and earned the five-point victory on a Kelly Kiger kill.

The final set was much closer, as neither team held more than a four-point lead throughout the set. After trading points throughout the beginning of the frame, Cincinnati was able to gain a three-point lead midway through the set, before Cleveland State rebounded and eventually regained the advantage.
