Cleveland State Track & Field Has Strong Second Day At #HLTF Outdoor Championships

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Cleveland State track & field team had a strong showing on day two of the Horizon League Outdoor Championships Saturday, including two podium finishes.

Karly Klaer notched the first podium finish of the day for the Vikings, placing sixth in the Shot Put with a mark of 12.39.

Cleveland State's second podium finish came from Ana Crangle in the 3000 Meter Steeplechase, as Crangle posted a time of 11:25.91 to finish seventh overall. Crangle's time marked an 11-second personal-best for the freshman.

Dynesty Ervin qualified for Sunday's 400 Meter Dash finals, posting a time of 56.98 to finish fifth in the prelims. Ervin's time marked a personal-best, while it improved on her program-record mark that she set last weekend.

The Vikings were also represented in the Long Jump, 100 Hurdles, 400 Hurdles, 100 Dash, and 200 Dash on Saturday.

Action at the #HLTF Outdoor Championships will conclude tomorrow, with running events beginning at 10:00 a.m. This is an adjusted start time due to the forecasted weather for Sunday.
