YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Cleveland State track & field team opened up action at the Horizon League Outdoor Championships Friday, including a pair of 10^th place finishes in the Discus and Javelin events.

Karly Klaer notched the 10^th place finish in the Discus with a mark of 35.87, while Allison Pankow tallied a matching 10^th place finish in the Javelin with a mark of 30.15.

A trio of Vikings competed in the 10,000 Meter Run Friday evening, paced by Ariana Coats who placed 15^th overall with a time of 40:05.49.

Cleveland State was also represented in the 1,500 Meter Run prelims, led by Madelynn Madison's time of 5:03.27.

Action will continue at the Horizon League Outdoor Championships tomorrow, with field events slated to begin at 12:00 p.m. and running events scheduled to start at 4:00 p.m.
